Office 2010 Professional and Office 2010 Professional Academic have been promoted by Microsoft as different products but are actually the same with different prices for regular purchasers and qualified academic users. The Academic edition is only available via specialist retailers to teachers, faculty, staff and students.
Office 2010 Standard and Office 2010 Professional Plus are only available to volume licence customers – they are not sold in ‘retail boxes’.
