Why pay more for Microsoft Office?

It's the same software no matter who you buy it from - CheaperOffice.com is dedicated to searching the Internet for the cheapest prices of Microsoft Office.
  Frequently Asked Questions

I've seen really cheap offers for Microsoft Office
Some people will offer you 'too good to be true' prices on Office and other software. Most commonly these offers come via unwanted or spam email.

Invariably the products are illegal. They may be pirated copies that look legitimate to the untrained eye but are counterfeits. Other times they are real copies that have been stolen and re-sold to people who are not entitled to use them. In other cases you'll pay your money and never get anything except a hole in your pocket!

At CheaperOffice.com we're only interested in legal and legitimate software sold through reputable channels. There's plenty of legal ways to save money buying MS Office without resorting to shady or even illegal merchants.

If you do decide to buy illegally, remember that the software registration technology in Office XP makes it harder to use the software. Even if it works at first you probably won't be able to use any patches or updates that Microsoft releases. As usual with illegal software there's no entitlement to upgrades or support

What about earlier versions of Office?
"Small steps, Ellie, small steps"
We've started with just Office XP since that's what most people are talking about. Prices and advice on Office 2000 will be coming soon.

What about outside North America?
We've started with North American online stores because that's where most of our customers live.

However we're very aware that there's lots of Office users around the world and we'll be adding prices and links for other countries soon.

Problems with a supplier
We don't recommend or warrant the suppliers listed - to the best of our knowledge they are all reputable companies.

If you have a dispute with an online store you should politely but firmly take the matter up with the company. Remember that in most cases you can ask your credit card company to decline a transaction for goods not received.

We're interested in any feedback, good or bad, about sellers - just complete our Feedback page.
