Office XP - Upgrade Guide

Usually when a software company offers an upgrade product they have a published list of what software has to be owned or installed to qualify for the reduced upgrade price.  This list has certain previous versions of the same product plus rival products that Microsoft wants you to switch from.

For Office XP Microsoft has tightened up on this a lot . 

You must have either Office 97 or Office 2000 to qualify

Even Office 4 or Office 95 don't qualify!

There's NO competitive upgrades from rival products at all.
